SafeTALK helps expand the reach of suicide intervention skills in communities around the world. Participants will be trained to recognize persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to intervention resources. This course helps to apply the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe.

Created by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches skills to assist in crisis situations – whether an overdose, panic attack, psychotic episode, or a suicide intervention. MHFA provides information and skills to work with individuals living with a range of disorders, leaving you confident in your skills to help others.

Created by the Cross Cultural Learner Centre in London, Ontario, Cultural Diversity Training adapts to the nature of your needs. This course helps you to build a strong foundation for intercultural competency skills, learn to examine your own biases and assumptions, and identify how culture influences us on an individual, group, and organizational level.
Fundamentals: Tip Sheet & Handbook - 4 hours
Basic Training - 5 to 8 hours
Intensive Training - 10 to 12 hours
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop.
